Beauty Anatomy Institute’s Thankful Thursday Program Provides Free Services For Local Non-Profits

Beauty Anatomy Institute hosts local non profits to complimentary services including hair, nails and skin care every Thursday as part of the school’s Thankful Thursday program.  Some of the local non-profits that have participated include Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Covenant House, SOS Next S.T.E.P.S and The FLITE CENTER.

“Thankful Thursday for our organization provides our consumers with a sense of confidence they are able to enter any room head held high because they are well groomed. We cannot thank Beauty Anatomy Institute enough for allow us to be a part of such an amazing opportunity,” said LaShonda Cross, NEXT S.T.E.P.S. Director.

Beauty Anatomy Institute offers programs in Cosmetology, Nail Specialty, Barber Styling, Facial Specialty and Hybrid (online and in-class, hands-on training) Full Specialty Program.  Students with the supervision of the instructors provide the Thankful Thursday program services.

“Beauty Anatomy Institute prides itself on ensuring all of the students are properly trained and receive valuable exposure to the beauty industry.  The school supplements student’s classroom experience with local and national competitions and seminars with Industry leaders/ stylists and charity outreach including our Thankful Thursday program,” said Beauty Anatomy Institute Founder Octavia McDougle.  The goal is to increase product knowledge, introduce students to industry trends and provide opportunities to network and learn how to build their brand through these experiences.

Founded by Octavia McDougle and her husband, retired NFL Player Stockar McDougle, Beauty Anatomy Institute of Cosmetology and Wellness (BAI) is located at the Pompano Citi Centre. BAI stands out from the competition by combining a high-tech learning environment with small classes and experienced trainers to create innovative educational programs.

BAI offers training in Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, Nail Technology, Instructor Training and Massage Therapy. They offer hands-on, cutting edge training and students are able to perform services for the public using products such as OPI, CHI, MAC and PCA Skin.

BAI is Licensed by the Florida Department of Education/Commission for Independent Education, accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, approved by the U.S. Department of Education for Title IV Programs, making qualified students eligible for Federal Financial Aid and approved by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to accept non-immigrant students.

BAI is also an approved training provider for Career Source Broward, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Veteran’s Affairs, the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts program.  Upon graduation, the school assists with career placement in salons and spas.

Meet Ms. Kirstie Boyle, Campus Director

We are very pleased to announce that we have a new Campus Director, Ms. Kirstie Boyle, who began her duties on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

Ms. Boyle brings more than 10 years of industry experience in higher education to the role along with more than 25 years in sales, marketing and leadership. As Campus Director, her responsibilities include providing leadership for the college, ensuring academic quality, managing operational effectiveness and promoting campus development. Prior to joining Beauty Anatomy Institute of Cosmetology and Wellness, Ms. Boyle most recently served as Campus Director for Mixed Institute of Cosmetology and Director of Operations for Hollywood Beauty College in California. She has also worked as a consultant to various organizations to develop improved operations, develop culture and create more efficient processes.
