Program Description

McDougle Technical Institute offers the blend of theoretical instruction, classroom practice and actual service provided to the public. Students are scheduled for supervised, online classes to obtain theory as well as on campus practice time, so students perform for the public. In addition, an externship is provided as an experiential learning opportunity that allows students to practice the skills they have learned in a professional environment.

Externship

McDougle Technical Institute provides an experiential learning opportunity that allows students to practice the skills they have learned in a professional environment. Externships give students the chance to develop their individual potential and confidence, thus easing the transition from classroom to career. It also helps students gain marketable skills, by providing “real world” experience beyond the classroom. Through an externship, students can apply their classroom knowledge in the workplace. The externship consists of 90 hours of supervised training. Students will be graded.
