McDougle Technical Institute’s Junior College Hosts Showcase to Recruit Local Talent for Football Team

(Pompano Beach, FL) McDougle Technical Institute’s Football program hosted a
JUCO Showcase on Saturday, June 11 at Mitchell Moore Park in Pompano Beach. The
event was geared toward unsigned high school seniors, juniors and transfers. MTI
Juco Head Coach Norm Richards hosted the event to fill open roster spots including
quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, offensive line, defensive line,
linebacker, defensive back, kicker and long snapper.
There were 20 scholarship offers made to the class of 2022, 2023 and 2024 student
athletes during the event. During the showcase they participated in position drills
and the 40-yard dash in front of the MTI Juco coaching staff.
“We encourage the kids to work hard while they are still in high school and strive to
keep their grades up. MTI is glad they participated and look forward to their
recruitment over the next year,” said MTI Juco Head Coach Norm Richards.
MTI Junior College players will report August 13 th with the first game in September.
 
NFL Legend and South Florida native Stockar McDougle and his wife Octavia
McDougle added the Junior College to their program offerings at MTI in 2021.  The
Bison kicked off their inaugural season last season and played all their games away
against teams from across the country. 
MTI’s Junior College offers students a two- year associates degree program. Any
