MTI PREP POMPANO TO PLAY THURSDAY AT DRV PNK STADIUM

(Pompano Beach, FL) The McDougle Technical Institute Preparatory Bison Football will play on Thursday, September 9 at 6pm at DRV PNK Stadium (1350 NW 55^th Street, Fort Lauderdale).  MTI Prep Pompano will play MDA Prep.  Game tickets are available for sale at the stadium or fans can view live stream at www.mtiprep.org/live. 

Head Coach Arturo Freeman leads the MTI Prep Bison Pompano. “We really want to focus on our kid’s growth and development both on and off the field. We want to give them the true experience of a postgraduate program. Covid affected ninety percent of our kids last season in some capacity.  We are here to address the time lost on the football field and some of the learning curve in the classroom. We want to bridge the gap and put our student athletes in the position to finish their dream of going to a four year university,” said MTI Prep Pompano Head Coach Arturo Freeman.  Freeman brings over 20 years of football experience with six years as a defensive back for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. “This is a great opportunity for our student athletes to play at DRV PNK Stadium.  There is so much rich history on the grounds,” added Freeman.

NFL Legend and South Florida native Stockar McDougle and his wife Octavia McDougle launched McDougle Technical Institute Preparatory (MTI Prep) in 2019 in Pompano Beach and expanded the program to Gainesville in April 2021.  They have assembled a team of sports veterans including retired professional football players and college coaches.  In 2019, McDougle Technical Institute Prep Pompano was the number one undefeated Prep team in the nation after winning the Prep School National Championship under the direction of Coach Norm Richards who was promoted in 2021 to serve as the MTI Junior College Head Coach.

MTI Preparatory (MTI Prep) is a post-graduate athletic program that is committed to helping student-athletes with career and college preparation. The athletic program offered at MTI is a six to ten-month program. Student-athletes engage in a rigorous sports program to work on improving strength and conditioning levels, playing ability, time management, accountability, confidence, maturity and leadership. The athletic teams compete against NAIA and Division III Junior Varsity Collegiate teams, Junior College Prep teams and Clubs teams to showcase the student’s talent for exposure in order to gain advancement and scholarships to college.  In addition to career training, the program offers academic and GPA credit recovery.    

MTI Prep is located in Pompano Beach and Gainesville.  MTI Prep Pompano offers student housing, food service, athletics, and a campus life experience for student’s ages 16 to 26.    MTI Prep is the only Post Grad Prep School that focuses on college and career prep.   The vocational program offers sports and wellness programs such as Massage Therapy, Barbering, Internet Marketing, Sports and Fitness Management, Sports Management, Physical Therapy Assistant, Medical Assistant, Criminal Justice, Entrepreneurship, Real Estate and Small Business Management and Construction Operations.
