Celebrating Community Impact: MTI Students and Instructors Shine at Back to School Swagfest

At McDougle Technical Institute (MTI), we believe in empowering our students not only to excel in their careers but also to make a meaningful difference in their communities. Recently, our students and instructors exemplified this commitment by participating in the Back to School Swagfest, hosted by Canton Jones, where they provided much-needed services to some of the neediest students in the 33060 area code.

We are thrilled to share the heartfelt feedback from Melissa Banner, Child Abuse Liaison at Broward County Public Schools, who expressed her gratitude for the professionalism and dedication of our team. She highlighted how our students went above and beyond, assisting children and families with unmatched care and professionalism.

Melissa noted:

“To say the students and Instructor went over and beyond would be an understatement. The services they provided to some of the neediest students in the 33060-area code was phenomenal. The students were extremely professional and went out of their way to assist in any way possible.”

She also commended the exceptional leadership of our instructor, emphasizing his uplifting mentorship:

“The instructor provided true leadership throughout the entire event. His interaction with his students, constant uplifting words of encouragement, and reminders to stay on course were truly inspiring. It’s amazing for these students to have an instructor and mentor like him.”
