600 hr Program Enrollment Fees and Requirements

Program Objective

The objective is to provide students with hands-on training in massage, coupled with comprehensive study of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology. The objective is to instruct the student to be able to pass one of the three exams accepted by Florida for licensure.

Program Description

McDougle Technical Institute offers the blend of theoretical instruction, classroom practice and actual service provided to the public. Students are scheduled for class to obtain theory in addition to practice and clinic times are scheduled so students perform massages for the public.

Program Components

Duration: 30 weeks/full-time students (20hrs per week) 37.5 weeks/weekend students (16 hours per week) Part-time students min (12 hrs per week)

School Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM;       1:00 PM – 5:00 PM; 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Classes start every Monday

Transfer hours accepted on a case by case basis (Transcript Evaluation Fee $100 must be paid prior to enrollment)

Admissions

Students may enroll in all classes with a high school diploma, GED or by passing a Wonderlic Basic Skills Test. High School Students may enroll with permission, in writing, from the secondary school in which they are enrolled. At the time of enrollment in the Program, be prepared to submit the following items:

  • Submit identification and/or proof of age documents (Driver’s License, Passport, Student ID, Birth Certificate)

  • Social Security Card (Students may still enroll without a SS# but a SS# is required for licensure)

  • Submit High School Diploma, GED or Schedule ATB test ($25 Testing Fee must be paid prior to enrollment)
