What is the CARES Act?

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provided $6 billion to colleges nationwide for emergency financial aid grants to be distributed to enrolled students who are “Title IV Eligible” and have expenses related to the COVID–19 pandemic.

How much money can I get?

McDougle Technical Institute will begin to distribute their $98,864 CARES Emergency Grant on June 15, 2020 by awarding up to $1,500 for emergency need-based grants to eligible enrolled students and will also award eligible students who were actively enrolled on May 1st, 2020 a $250.00 one time grant payment.

Who is eligible?

If you have filed a 2019-20 FAFSA,  meet federal Title IV eligibility requirements, and attended class on or after May 1st, 2020, or are currently enrolled in a program and incurred expenses such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and childcare related fees as a result of the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Funds are limited and will be dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis
